Update on Company

The UDT (University Dance Theater) is a pre-professional company that offers the same opportunities and perks as would a professional traveling company! She will be performing at shows on campus as well as throughout the San Jose community.  A huge bonus to her becoming a member of the dance team is that she will be working with some of the most experienced and best choreographers in the state of California !  She will dance alongside former dancers of the renowned Limon Dance company of New York City, and the creators of "sjdanceco," one of the biggest companies in Northern California.  

 

Autumns' mentors will include dance greats, such as Heather Cooper, Holly Johnston, Gary Masters, and Fred Mathews.  (We will need to google these people as they fall out of my every day acquaintances like Michele Obama, Michele Ebow, Pavarotti, and the Williams sisters). (smile) This fall and next spring (2011) will give more opporunities to follow her shows.  I will keep you all posted on the other upcoming and unannounced shows so that we can all encourage Autumn. 

 

The final highpoint from this particular honor will take place in 2011 when Autumn will attend the American College Dance Festival (ACDF) in Long Beach , California .  Not only will her company be competing among the best 50 colleges, she will attend Master classes, lead by many of the choreographers featured on "So You Think You Can Dance."
